Ladywell's men's champion, Des Marrett, saw his winning run in the Kent County Unbadged Singles knockout come to an end in the divisional semi-final on Wednesday 21st June against I Remedios from HSBC bowling club in Beckenham.
Des's fine run to the semi-final had seen him win four consecutive matches, but the semi-final proved a step too far and he went down by 21-10.
After the match, Des said: "It just didn't go for me tonight, but I'm happy to have had such a good run of matches."
The competitions come thick and fast at this time of year, and Des will be on the green again on Saturday, as a member of the team representing Ladywell in the Ron Hams Cup, away at Southwark Sports Bowling Club. So, he'll be hoping to get back to winning ways.
