Ladywell have qualified for the semi-finals of the Beckenham, Bromley & District Bowling Association's Triples League as winners of Division A.
Ladywell had virtually guaranteed their place in the semi-finals as one of the two top clubs in the division before the last round of matches on Friday 6th August and were sitting in second place. But they gained maximum points from their final scheduled match against Penge when the Penge team were unable to fulfil the fixture. This meant that the Ladywell players had to wait for the results of the other matches to find out if they'd topped the division.
The Met Police Bowling Club were the only ones who could overtake them for the top spot and when the results came in, the Met Police could only gain 2 points from their match with Bromley. This meant Ladywell finished top of the division with 24 points from a possible 30 and Met Police were second with 22 points.
Ladywell's opponents in the Triples League semi-final will be the club who finished second in Division B - their local rivals Francis Drake Bowling Club. The match will be played at HSBC BC on Friday August 27th.
