Ladywell's John Colyer League match at league leaders Southwark Sports ended with the home team taking the majority of the points, winning two rinks and the overall match by 60-44.
Ladywell's three triples played well on a sunny afternoon at Southwark Sports and at the halfway point, although they were down on Rink 1, the other two rinks were close-fought contests, with only a few points in it. But as the game went on, the Southwark Sports teams pulled away on Rinks 1 and 3, eventually winning by 28-14 and 18-13.
But it was a different story on Rink 2, where after a match that swung one way and then the other, the Ladywell team came out on top by 17-14.
So, in the overall points, Ladywell gained 2 points for the win on Rink 2, while Southwark Sports claimed 2 points for each rink win, plus the additional 4 points for the overall win.
The result leaves Southwark Sports on top of the John Colyer League with 28 points from four matches, with Ladywell in third, with 12 points from three matches.
